We are now offering Playaway®, the first self-playing digital audio book.
Half the size of a deck of cards, Playaway® is the simplest way to listen to
a book on the go. Using clearly marked buttons, Playaway gives listeners the
ability to move back and forth within or between chapters and alter the
speed of a narrator’s voice. It even has an automatic bookmark feature that
remembers where you left off.

The Salem Public Library would like to let you know about the Spring Adult
Reading Program where you—the SPL patron—enter to earn prize packages for
ever three books you read every week from March 1st to May 15th.
The rules and entry form can be found either
here, in digital form, or at the Spring Reading Program display in the
