The Salem Public Library has always been a gathering place for students after school. In an effort to give them a place to socialize during the school year, we opened the meeting room weekdays from 3-7 pm Monday through Thursday and 3-5 pm on Friday. This room is now known as “Our Space” because it truly is the teen’s space at the library. (Grades 6 –10) “Our Space” offers 8 Internet computers, XBox 360, Wii, board games and other fun activities, such as parties and Guitar Hero World Tour. In addition, we have copies of the Salem School textbooks available for in library use only; copies of up to 25 pages can be made free of charge.
I hope to see you soon!
