What are eBooks?

eBooks are electronic versions of printed books that can be viewed using a Web browser with a computer connected to the Internet. They are easy to use and searching the eBook collection is fast and efficient. Since eBooks are online, they're available at your convenience 24 hours a day. There is no need to worry about returning eBooks since they are automatically "returned" at the end of the checkout period.

To read or check out an ebook you will need to create an account on netLibrary by clicking "create account" on the ebooks site and following the instructions for creating a user name and password. The account may be created online at the Salem Library; once the account is set up it can be used from any location.
